MEET DR. PETER GIBSON, MD
A brief introduction to Dr. Gibson and his work as a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow care at Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Orthopedic & Spine Institute.
WHY DR. GIBSON CHOOSE HAND SURGERY
Dr. Gibson shares what drew him to orthopedic hand surgery, his interest in the intricate mechanics of the hand and upper extremity, and the importance of connecting personally with each patient.
My Philosophy of Care
I believe great hand surgery starts with listening. Every patient deserves time to understand their condition, discuss treatment options, and develop a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle.
Not every problem requires surgery. In many cases, the best treatment may involve therapy, activity modification, injections, or other non-operative options. When surgery is needed, I focus on techniques that restore function, minimize recovery time when appropriate, and help patients return to the activities that they enjoy the most.
Whether you are seeking a second opinion, recovering from an injury, or exploring treatment for a chronic condition, my goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized care every step of the way.
